While in New York this past weekend, I was referred to a breakfast place by the name of Egg. Yes, just the one word. Its funny how some of the most successful places in New York or at least popular places have titles consisting of just one word, like Earwax or Whisk. Now usually I am not keen on waiting in long lines or having to be on a list for over half an hour. However, I made an exception and signed up and I couldn't be more happy that I did. Once you sit down they bring you a french press with bold coffee that rivals that of the best. This was followed by a bowl of donut balls. The consistency was more like that of beignets but they were excellent and not to sweet, which is hard to find in a donut. The menu was made up of diverse options unlike anything I have seen in a breakfast restaurant. I ordered the country ham biscuit and it was nothing short of perfection. Fresh homemade biscuits and in between, an over medium egg, Col. Bill Newsom's Hams from Princeton, homemade fig jam, and a side of cheese grits. It was brought out quick and service was friendly and helpful. The lunch menu sounded equally incredible and hopefully one day I will get to eat there again. The best breakfast I have ever had.

It Shall Continue Soon...
This is more of an update just to state that my pursuit of the best burger is on hold over the next few weeks but that soon I will be posting a review on the famed Maple and Motor. This is said to have the best burger, and was even compared to Wingfields's and that is dangerous words. I hope to have it up soon.
